Since 2017

Caring for Auckland feet — recently rebranded as Footprint Podiatry.

All ages

From sports injuries to high-risk diabetic foot care in later life.

Foot conditions we treat

Expert care for a wide range of foot conditions.

Every visit starts with a clear diagnosis, followed by a personalised treatment plan. Here are the conditions we see most often.

Ingrown toenail treatment Nail surgery available

Ingrown Toenails

When a nail edge grows into the surrounding skin it can cause severe pain and infection. We treat the cause — whether trauma, sport, ill-fitting shoes or heredity — and, for chronic or severe cases, offer Partial (PNA) or Total Nail Avulsion (TNA) under local anaesthetic, with excellent outcomes.

  • Conservative treatment
  • Partial Nail Avulsion (PNA)
  • Total Nail Avulsion (TNA)
  • Local anaesthetic procedures
Heel and arch pain assessment

Heel & Arch Pain

Heel and arch pain has many causes — plantar fasciitis (the most common), stress fractures, Achilles tendinopathy and nerve entrapment among them. We diagnose the source first, then build a personalised plan to relieve pain and support recovery.

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Stress fractures
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Nerve entrapment
  • Custom orthotics
Verrucae / plantar wart treatment

Verrucae (Plantar Warts)

Caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), verrucae appear as well-defined, cauliflower-textured lesions often ringed by callus. They can be painful in weight-bearing areas and spread easily in pools, showers and gyms. We offer a range of treatments to remove and manage them effectively.

  • Topical treatments
  • Cryotherapy
  • Swift microwave therapy
Corn and callus treatment

Corns & Calluses

Repeated pressure or friction builds calluses (thick patches of skin) and corns (smaller, hardened areas with a painful core). Both can become uncomfortable over time. We safely remove corns and reduce calluses while addressing the underlying cause to prevent recurrence.

  • Safe debridement
  • Padding & offloading
  • Footwear advice
Diabetic foot care assessment Specialist focus

Diabetic Foot Conditions

Diabetes can cause nerve damage and loss of sensation, so small injuries go unnoticed and risk becoming ulcers. Regular check-ups are essential. Our podiatrist divides her time between the Auckland Diabetes Centre and Footprint Podiatry, bringing specialised understanding to high-risk foot care.

  • High-risk foot assessment
  • Neuropathy monitoring
  • Wound care
  • Ulcer prevention
  • Diabetes Centre referrals
Footwear advice and selection

Footwear Advice

Poorly fitted shoes contribute to ingrown toenails, blisters, corns, calluses and muscle strain. Well-fitted footwear supports foot health and aids recovery. We give expert guidance on choosing the right shoes for your needs and recommend trusted brands.
